MUSIC
Having been involved in music from my earliest memories, I consider myself a musician as much as a clinician and scientist. My primary instrument is my voice. I have sung in a variety of ensembles, including classic choral ensembles, show choirs, jazz choirs, a capella groups, early music ensembles, and musical theater productions. During college, I sang under the direction of Anton Armstrong in the St. Olaf Choir and took private voice lessons from Margaret Eaves-Smith, with a focus on developing my classical soprano voice. I currently sing professionally with the Taylor Festival Choir, based out of Charleston, SC. I also sing with Portara Ensemble in Nashville, TN. I am available as a soprano soloist for weddings or to sing in an ensemble setting.
I also play viola and violin. I have several years of private instruction along with training in chamber ensembles and symphonic orchestras. In addition to my classical experience, I led an electric string ensemble and played with a band while in college. I am available to play my acoustic viola or electric violin for weddings or in a small chamber setting.
Finally, I play classical piano. I have several years of private instruction and experience with solo accompaniment.
